GTA V: Hidden Information

The first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5 has been revealed by Rockstar Games. You can check out the link below if you haven't seen it but if you have and what to know more, I'm your man!

Setting

The game is set in a modern day Los Santos. It looks as if Rockstar has decided to only include Los Santos this time and exclude it's neighbouring cities of San Fierro & Las Venturas which make up the area of San Andreas.

For now, this is how it looks but more could be revealed soon. The game is set in present day judging by the vehicles, buildings and theme of the game. Speaking of the theme, it looks like Rockstar are going with the whole 'recession' storyline which falls inline perfectly into today's world so people can relate.

Character

Currently we don't know much about the character except that he has come to Los Santos to retire and is possibly very wealthy by the sounds of the things he has his sights set on for himself and his family.

This is odd because usually the character doesn't have much money or anything like that but builds his way up to the top. This guy seems to be settling on the West Coast to relax but somehow will fall into the path of every GTA characters ways.

If you want your character to be fat, skinny or buff like you controlled back in the original San Andreas, it could be a possibility as I spotted an outside gym similar to the real one in Muscle Beach and that could allow the character to work out.

I'll try and update you guys as much as I can on the character soon.

The Map

It looks like we will have a huge map this time and it's great. These days it's normal for companies to release games on multiple discs compared to 2008 when GTA IV hit and it was frowned upon.

The reason I believe the map will be big is that Mt. Chilead is back from GTA:SA and we are shown planes flying which could mean we can fly to the top. The other possibility as always is to go up there on foot as we did see some hikers heading towards it. And finally, you could always attempt to drive all the way up.

Another scene showed off some farmers working with crops and that could mean that there will be some countryside.

Right now, we could be only seeing the Los Santos side of things and we might even get San Fierro & Las Venturas back, but that'll be revealed or not revealed later depending on what they have for us.

The Vehicles

The cars are just like always and are up to modern designs but it's the classic fun GTA vehicles from past games that might make a return that has got me excited.

If you look closely, we have choppers, planes, golf-carts & finally... a jet-ski.

Let me start with the choppers and planes. They are the same as always, but making a return is the plane/jet which was taken out of IV due to the whole NYC aspect.  IT's going to be fun flying around again.

Another return is the Golf Carts which we only saw in Vice City and I believe the GTA IV expansions. In the golf course scene I picked up on a cart and hopefully they are driveable. This being GTA I doubt they won't let us hop in them and take them for a spin!

Finally it's the new entry of a jet ski. It's going to be interesting to see some missions with this new vehicle and I can't wait to see it in action.

Summary

I'm really excited to see more of V as not much is currently known. The trailer didn't reveal too much but just enough to make us all want more which is smart by Rockstar Games.

Hopefully we learn more about the character and obviously the release date.
